Our Philosophy and Worldview
The philosophy that guides Xareni is based on Indigenous practices of community-building, traditional governance and change-making. The organization’s leader is of P’urhepecha heritage and has over fifteen years of experience in capacity-building, strategic development and change-making. P’urhepecha people were skilled diplomats who practiced the principles of deep inquiry, felt (embodied) knowledge and engaged in deliberate conversations even with their opponents, to execute collective decision-making. This approach has kept them united, grounded and spiritually undefeated throughout the generations. Today P’urhepecha people are still known for their warrior spirit and successful implementation of unique self-governance models in Michoacan. In this spirit, Xareni hopes to build up people and organizations to practice courageous leadership, team nourishment and strategic thinking that will contribute to empowering individuals, movement-building and sparking social transformations.
VISION
We believe that we can build an interdependent world where all beings thrive. A world where humans have what they need while living in intentional balance with the restored natural world. We manifest that our current and future generations will have access to delicious food, clean air, clean water and safe, lovely homes.
We envision a future where workers are justly compensated to live flourishing lives, where tenants have secure and comfortable housing and communities are making decisions that benefit all at the ballot box, where people of conscience are in positions of power and where all humans are valued for their intrinsic potential and goodness. We know that employers, corporations and governments will transform because it is our duty to help them achieve their true and just purpose
We envision more strategic, purpose-driven and courageous individuals and organizations that together and in concert will bring about this world-making. With restored interdependence, integrity, love, dignity and humility, we will have the strength, commitment and resilience to co-create change in the long haul. Our ancestors have prayed for us to bring this vision to fruition and “it is our duty to win.”
Mission
Xareni Consulting’s mission is to work with individuals and organizations that are committed to bringing about a new dawn that encompasses just, collaborative and peaceful world-making.
Our focus is to foster more visionary, purposeful and strategic work in the lives of our clients. This can range from working with people who are making change through formal channels or those who are pursuing personal transformation.
Through a multi-faceted approach that combines facilitation, coaching, thought leadership and mind body practice, Xareni Consulting encourages clients to ground and engage in deep reflection in order to exercise strategic thinking and fine-tuned holistic awareness. This practice helps clients develop the tools needed to continue their critical work of personal and community liberation. Through our collective visioning and strategic capacity-building, we will work towards a more liberatory future for the next seven generations.
